Fighting Climate Change and Air Pollution

(Sacramento) – Assemblymember Tim Grayson (D-Concord) and a bipartisan majority of legislators have approved a landmark package of legislation to address the issues surrounding climate change. Assembly Bills 398 and 617 will balance our economic, health and environmental concerns as California works to reach its 2030 climate targets and improve the lives of all residents. “I am pleased to support AB 398 to continue our Cap and Trade program beyond 2020 and ensure that we reach our 2030 climate goals in the most cost effective way possible,” Assemblymember Grayson said during the floor debate. “This bill clearly shows California’s leadership on global climate policies, and our strong commitment to the concepts of economic fairness and environmental justice.” Here’s more in this Assembly Access video. http://www.asmdc.org/grayson
