March is Social Worker Month in California

(Sacramento) – Assemblymember Tony Thurmond (D-Richmond) introduced House Resolution 14 in the State Assembly to recognize March as Social Worker Month in California. “Social workers serve as a resource to build healthier and more prosperous communities and work to advance social justice across our state and country,” said Assemblymember Thurmond. “Social workers are committed to helping individuals, families, groups, and communities to eliminate poverty, systemic oppression, and disparities in underserved and marginalized communities.” Here’s more in this Assembly Access video.
