(Sacramento) – Assemblymember Tony Thurmond (D-Richmond) welcomed presidents of California chapters of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women to the State Assembly during the March 20, 2017 floor session. “The NCBW has worked hard on behalf of black women and girls to promote leadership development and gender equity in the areas of health, education, and economic empowerment for 35 years,” said Assemblymember Thurmond. “I applaud the NCBW mission of creating a world for black women and girls to live in where socio-economic inequity does not exist.” Here’s more in this Assembly Access video.
