(SACRAMENTO) – Following Governor Edmund G. Brown’s State of the State address to a Joint Convention of the California Legislature, Assemblymember Tim Grayson (D - Concord) issued the following statement.
“The Governor clearly demonstrated his commitment to continuing the progress California has made over the past six years. I look forward to working with him and my colleagues in the Legislature to ensure that we continue to address the issues facing our State. California has the opportunity to set an example for the rest of the nation and work across the political divide for the betterment of all citizens by continuing to provide affordable health care for millions of Californians, saving for a rainy day while paying down our debts, balancing our budget, and investing in additional education funding.”
Referencing the Governor’s proposal to work with the Federal Government on transportation infrastructure, Grayson continued, “Like the rest of our nation and state, communities across the 14th District are in dire need of improved transportation infrastructure. I intend to work diligently to find real solutions to the transportation and affordable housing issues that have a major impact on the lives of everybody across the East Bay and the state on a daily basis, and I am optimistic we can make meaningful progress this year.”
Tim Grayson represents the 14th Assembly District that includes the communities of Benicia, Concord, Clayton, Martinez, Pleasant Hill, Vallejo, Pittsburg and Walnut Creek. For more information please visit the Assemblymember’s website, www.assembly.ca.gov/a14.
