Assemblymember Grayson Issues Statement on Governor Brown's 2018 State of the State Address

For immediate release:

(SACRAMENTO) Following Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr.’s 2018 State of the State Address, Assemblymember Timothy S. Grayson (D-Concord) released the following statement:

“California enters 2018 in the best condition in decades and I applaud Governor Brown’s leadership over the last 7 years. We have gone from record deficits to record surpluses. We have invested heavily in education, transportation and our environment. Millions more Californians have health insurance than at the start of the decade and we have put millions of people back to work. All of this while paying down our debts and saving for a rainy day.”

Grayson continued, “This is a remarkable record that has laid the foundation so we can continue to address the serious challenges before us such as our housing crisis, reducing our unfunded liabilities and ensuring our public universities are affordable and accessible. I remain committed to partnering with my legislative colleagues and the Governor to continue improving opportunities for all Californian families.”

Tim Grayson represents the 14th Assembly District that includes the communities of Benicia, Concord, Clayton, Martinez, Pleasant Hill, Vallejo, Pittsburg and Walnut Creek For more information please visit the Assemblymember’s website, www.assembly.ca.gov/a14.
